Workshop 2: Mental Health and the Community

The keynote address by Rep. McDermott has ended, and the symposium has broken into two simultaneous workshops.

Workshop 1 is focusing on mental health and family/youth education.

This writer will follow Workshop 2: Mental Health and the Community, which is dealing with the legal system, homelessness and the developments in public safety, voluntary commitment laws, among others. Panelists include:

• Dan Satterberg, King County Prosecuting Attorney
• Craig Rennebohm, Seattle Mental Health Chaplain
• Helen Nilon, executive director of Mental Health Action
• Declan Wynne, director of Sound Mental Health Recovery and Integrated Services

And the panel will be moderated by King County Superior Court Judge Harry McCarthy.
