Mental illness in the media

Dr. Ruston makes the point that "mental illness is not high up there for a predictor of violence." Yet, she says, that 50% of stories in the media are about violence among those with mental illness. 

Rarely do you see someone like her dad, or the kind of stories at the symposium, she said.
