'Remember, they're people.'

When Linea was at Harborview, at the age of 20, she was extremely suicidal and had to be supervised around the clock. And she also had to take a class about chemical dependency with heroin addicts despite only smoked marijuana once in college. Nevertheless, she did develop a connection to the other patients there.

Her mother, Cinda, was concerned that her daughter wouldn't be able to get good care when she was surrounded by older, potentially dangerous other patients. She was calmed by her daughter's psychologist who said, "Remember, they're people."
