Need for sound policy

Rev. Craig Rennebohm said it's helpful to think about caring for the mentally ill in terms of community organizing.

"We need to make the front door for mental health care as readily accessible as possible, catching people the earliest that's possible," he said.

He said that mental health care only works when the foundamentals are covered, including a national housing policy. People cannot seek help when they have nowhere to live, he said.
