In the public eye

Randy Revelle had to live with his mental illness in the public eye because of his elected positions. While Revelle had told members of the media, they didn't start running stories until he became King County Executive. After he went public, he received more than 700 responses from the community and not a single one was negative.

"That helped get over the stigma," Revelle said.
